Former Bukit Gantang Umno division information chief Ismail Safian is Barisan Nasional candidate for the Bukit Gantang parliamentary by-election. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced his name when giving a speech during a meet-the-people session in Simpang here on Saturday.
