By 09:00pm, Barisan Nasional has unofficially declared defeat in a Permatang Pauh by-election against opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim who will return to parliament after a decade-long absence.

The next few weeks will be extremely crucial and worrisome for the Barisan Nasional leaders as talks of defection of BN MP's are rife and loud. Najib, we know you are berduka kecewa now, but you can start to be pucat now.

Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak made a plea to the Chinese and Indian communities in Permatang Pauh - come back to the Barisan Nasional's fold.

Yeah right. Did Najib or Abdullah ever get consent from the Chinese and Indian when they held talk with PAS ? The reason why the talk broke down is because PAS want Hadi to take over the prime minstership from Abdullah.

The only way for Chinese and Indian to enjoy equality and to contribute more to Malaysia is lend their supports to PR.

As for Najib or Abdullah, I doubt they even care about their own race what more to say other races. They only care about holding power in PutraJaya.

Abdul Razak Abdul Ghani, Sabah Deputy State Police Commissioner said that they had actually anticipated to detain lower numbers of illegal immigrants this time due to earlier publicity of the operations. Guess who publicized the operation against the illegals ? Najib BIG MOUTH.

Najib big mouth act as an early warning for the pilak a few weeks in advance. Enough for the pilak to hide elsewhere until the operation is over.

So right now, it Sabah (Malaysia) 0, Pilak 1.

Operation against illegals continues

KOTA KINABALU: The latest operation to flush out illegal immigrants was conducted in Pulau Gaya and other immigrant hot spots around the city.

On the first day of the operation, not many illegal immigrants were detained as many of them were believed to have gone into hiding or returned to their home country in view of widely publicised massive operations.

Among those detained were children whose parents did not possess valid documents. Many managed to flee upon seeing the arrival of the enforcers knocking on the doors of their ‘kongsi’ and rented homes.

“The operation was conducted smoothly without any untoward incidents. We had actually anticipated to detain lower numbers of illegal immigrants this time due to earlier publicity of the operations,” said deputy State Police Commissioner Datuk Abdul Razak Abdul Ghani.

From the predawn sweep in Pulau Gaya, six Filipinos including a child were found without proper documents from among a total of 131 detained by police in various areas in the city and Penampang.

The screening process was carried out by the Immigration Department, National Registration Department and the Federal Special Task Force.

Those without legal documents would be sent to the temporary detention centre in Menggatal or the new centre at the army’s Kem Paradise in Kota Belud. Detainees would be deported after relevant travel documents are processed by the embassies.

The operations are being coordinated by a secretariat under the State Security Council headed by Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman and overseen by the Home Ministry.

These operations are expected to continue for the next few months in the west coast and followed by the east coast districts.

Yes, that's right. Najib Tun Razak the DPM of Malaysia indeed has big mouth. I know he and his officials are working on the problem illegals immigrant in Sabah.

But don't lar announce to the world that there will be a massive cleaning operation against the illegals. And he did just that. This news has alerted the illegals and they have a couple of weeks to lay low or self-deport themselves out of Sabah and to return when the operation is over.

The media estimate of 100K to 150K illegals is also way off. The actual number is definitely more.

And get this, another RM50 million is required to kick start this operation. What the heck. The armed forces are around. The police forces are around. The Immigration enforcement are around. It just need a proper planning and coordination to mount the operation. Maybe that RM50 million is needed to mobilize the two submarines to Sabah water, huh.

And Najib is only taking about chasing the illegals away. There is no policy on who to secure Sabah water and to prevent the illegals from reentering the State. Another half-cooked effort from the government.

Massive swoop on illegals in Sabah next month

KUALA LUMPUR: A massive crackdown on illegal immigrants in Sabah will start next month, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

An estimated 100,000 to 150,000 illegal immigrants, those without documents or who have overstayed, will be deported. The crackdown would be open ended and continuous.

“This shows that the Government has the political will to resolve the issue of illegal immigrants in Sabah. We do not want this problem to recur,” said Najib after chairing a meeting on illegal immigrants with Sabah political leaders, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar and others at Parliament yesterday.

He also said the Cabinet, at its meeting last Friday, had approved RM50mil for the purchase of equipment and expenses for the operation to be led by the police and state secretary to co-ordinate the move.

The operation would involve multi agencies such immigration, armed forces, Rela and others.

“The Home Ministry has also had bilateral talks with the Philippines and Indonesia on the operation,” he said.

Najib also said the Home Ministry would discuss with the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry on how to handle street children and to have a place to house them.

The operation would start from the west part of Sabah as a detention transit camp was ready, and move east, he said.

The last crackdown on illegal immigrants in Sabah was in 2001.

On Raja Petra Kamaruddin being slapped with criminal defamation charges, Najib said: “ I don’t decide.”

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, the number two man in Malaysia said he have no knowledge of anything. Did his tongue slipped and twisted or he really meant it.

If his tongue slipped, then the medias and the bloggers are having a field day mocking his stupidity. If he really meant it that he have no knowledge of anything, then probably Allah cannot saved Malaysia for putting a no-brainer as the number two in the government.

I have no knowledge of anything: Najib

Pekan: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said he knew nothing about the statutory declaration made by private investigator P Balasubramaniam, retracting the earlier declaration which he made under duress and because he was disappointed with the Government.

"I have no knowledge of anything," said the Deputy Prime Minister.

He said this when asked to comment on the latest statutory declaration made by Balasubramaniam on Friday which denied all the allegations he had made that linked Najib to the Mongolian woman, Altantuya Shaariibuu.

In his statutory declaration on Friday, Balasubramaniam admitted that his earlier statutory declaration was inaccurate and untrue.

At a press conference on Friday, Balasubramaniam's lawyer, M Arulampalam clarified that his client had made the statutory declaration on July 1 under duress and because he was disappointed with the Government.

Asked whether the earlier statutory declaration by the private investigator had affected his image, Najib replied: "I have to face it, what can I do. I have to accept the fact that in Malaysian politics one can resort to dirty tactics, it's even alright to manipulate the law as long as one's objective is achieved."

Najib said he was leaving it to the authorities to take whatever action against the private investigator.

"This (statutory declaration) should not have been made. I regret that it had happened because, firstly, it concerns a case that is still pending in court. If it happens in other countries, action would have been taken against those committing contempt of court.

"What I regret is that there was an opposition leader who was also involved in the press conference concerning a case (Altantuya murder trial) that is still pending in court. It is a matter that concerns the law. It concerns the fate of three people who are facing a very serious charge in court, why should we involve politics and so on in the matter," he said.- Bernama
