The Pensiangan parliamentary seat, won by Barisan Nasional's Joseph Kurup on March 8 general election, has been declared vacant by the Kota Kinabalu Election Court today.

Election Court quashes Pensiangan result (updated)
KOTA KINABALU: The Election Court has quashed the result of Pensiangan parliamentary seat which was won uncontested by Barisan Nasional's Tan Sri Joseph Kurup.
Kurup, who is Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) president, can appeal the decision.
The Election Court on Monday brought forward the petition decision which was to be heard on Sept 17.
PKR's Danny Anthony Andipai had filed the petition seeking to nullify the results of the Pensiangan seat won by Kurup on the Feb 24 nomination day at the Nabawan community hall in the interior of Sabah.
