Finance Ministry to reduce spending

After Women’s Sports and Fitness Foundation Malaysia (WSFFM) was criticized for exorbitant spending, the Finance Ministry said they would heed the advice and ensure all activities and programmes be done on a moderate scale.

Public fund should be for the benefit of the rakyat and not for paying entertainment allowances for politicians and government officers.

Ng to tighten ministry’s belt

PETALING JAYA: The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry fully supports the call by the Finance Ministry instructing all government agencies to reduce frills when organising official functions to cut cost and prevent wastage.

Minister Datuk Dr Ng Yen Yen said the ministry would heed the advice and ensure all activities and programmes be done on a moderate scale.
